The new TAD-R1TXLTD speaker system, featuring a special “Santa Maria Aquamarine” finish, will be available in December 2024.
Technical Audio Devices Laboratories, Inc. has announced the release of the TAD-R1TXLTD, a limited edition of 25 pairs of the acclaimed TAD-R1 Reference One speaker system, originally launched in 2019. This new model, part of the Reference series, will include various improvements and refinements, available exclusively by order.
The TAD-R1TXLTD is distinguished by its special Santa Maria aquamarine finish, which gives the cabinet an almost three-dimensional elegance. This effect is achieved through a meticulous painting and polishing process carried out by skilled artisans. The new color, inspired by the depths of the sea, enhances the aesthetic beauty of the product, with the Aurelia gold ring around the CST driver adding a touch of sophistication.
One of the main improvements in this model is the new SILENT cabinet, made from laminated hybrid materials, which offers a robust structure and improved vibration damping characteristics. The addition of a 12 kg aluminum base contributes to better stability and more powerful bass.
The speaker system also includes redesigned spikes and spike supports, made from special wear-resistant alloy steel, to support the significant weight of 162 kg. This combination provides more precise and energetic audio reproduction, maintaining the sound quality expected from a product in this range.
With a frequency response of 21 Hz to 100 kHz, the TAD-R1TXLTD promises to offer a high-fidelity listening experience, enhanced by special sound tuning that maximizes the potential of the new SILENT cabinet.
The speakers will be paired with an assortment of accessories, including cone-shaped spikes, spike supports, and protective covers for the woofers. The launch is scheduled for December 2024, with the system available exclusively by order.
