Marantz has introduced two new components to its reference home-cinema lineup: the AV 30 11.4-channel AV preamplifier and the AMP 30 six-channel power amplifier. Both are aimed at demanding users with dedicated rooms, where control, flexibility and long-term system scalability matter more than spectacle.
The Context

With the 30 Series, Marantz continues to refine a modular approach to high-end multichannel systems. The AV 30 sits below the brand’s absolute flagships, yet inherits much of their architecture and design philosophy, reflecting a mature and methodical positioning.
The information

The AV 30 is built around a dual-core SHARC DSP platform from Analog Devices, paired with 32-bit DACs, and supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced and AURO-3D. Audyssey MultEQ XT32 is included, with optional support for Dirac Live, Dirac Bass Control and Dirac Active Room Treatment (ART).
HDMI connectivity supports 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz, while network playback is handled via HEOS, offering Roon Ready, Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth. Both RCA and XLR outputs are provided.
The AMP 30 delivers 200 W per channel into 8 Ω across six channels, with BTL operation (up to three channels at 400 W) and bi-amping options. It is designed to operate alone or as part of larger multi-amplifier systems.
Both units feature Marantz’s iconic porthole design and are manufactured in Japan at the Shirakawa Audio Works facility.
How much? (RRP):
– Marantz AV 30: €4,000 | $4,000 | £3,500
– Marantz AMP 30: €4,000 | $4,000 | £3,500

Rather than chasing impact, the AV 30 and AMP 30 promises reinforced long-term focus on room control, modular growth and system coherence.
