HiFi Show + Ultimate Sessions Xtreme ’25 — A High-Fidelity Weekend in Estoril
Six years in the making.
An industry waiting for its stage.
A crowd hungry for sound.
This weekend, in Estoril, something happened that many had stopped even hoping for: A true HiFi Show.
Portugal is once again hosting a showcase fully dedicated to sound. HiFi Show brought together (almost) every hi-fi brand represented in the country.
But more than that, it was a reunion. A return to audiophile connection and the celebration of music as a physical, almost spiritual experience. Yes, it’s also about technology — but with soul.

Just a two-minute walk away, Ultimate Sessions Xtreme took over Bridge Room at Palácio Estoril Hotel with a golden aura of exclusivity and… silence. The good kind of silence. The one that makes the music shine.
The Return of a National Stage for High-Fidelity
At the Estoril Congress Center, every demo room was meticulously planned: acoustics, equipment layout, presentation.
International names — and local creations — showed the very best of what’s available in Portugal’s high-end audio scene.
But beyond technical specs, what we heard — and felt — was music.
Real. With texture, space, truth. And that means more than any datasheet.
The turnout was impressive. The vibe? Alive, curious, and filled with that spark in the eyes of people who get emotional over a perfectly reproduced voice.
(Almost) Everyone Was There…
…but not quite everyone. Some absences were noted — the most talked-about being Imacústica, who hosted their anniversary event in Lisbon on the same weekend.
Nothing wrong with that — but the overlap raised a question that kept surfacing in conversations: There’s a lack of coordination in the industry.
Three major events at once, with one of them far removed from the others? Once again, instead of bringing audiences together, attention was split — along with opportunity.
Nothing dramatic, but the message from the public was clear. Together, audio reaches further.
Ultimate Sessions Xtreme: The Golden Silence at Estoril

Inside the Bridge Room at the Palácio Estoril Hotel, things hit another level. Literally.
Dimmed lights. Perfectly aligned chairs. People holding their breath. The system set up by Ultimate Audio — with a lineup of ultra high-end components — did what very few can: It made us forget we were at a demo.
The sound wasn’t coming from the speakers. It pulsed in the air. From the floor, the walls, the ceiling. We felt it on our skin.
The voices felt human. The pianos alive. The percussion, electric. And the silences… they spoke louder than everything else.
Ultimate knows that showing good products isn’t enough. You need to create moments. And once again, they achieved it.
Exclusive Interviews with Global Industry Voices
During the event, we had the chance to speak with two of the industry’s heavy hitters:
Shinji Tarutani, President of the legendary TAD Labs, shared the Japanese philosophy of precision, detail, and respecting music as an art form.
Daniel Qvortrup, son of the mythical Peter Qvortrup (founder of Audio Note UK) and current Sales Executive at the brand, didn’t hold back — He talked legacy, raw emotion, and the non-negotiable value of never compromising music… no matter how algorithmic the world gets.

These interviews — to be published here over the coming days — are unmissable. More than interviews, they’re masterclasses in vision and passion for music.
A New Chapter for High-End Audio in Portugal
This isn’t just coverage. It’s a mission. Because yes, Portugal has talent. It has passionate brands and professionals. It has an audience. And now, it has a voice — one that understands the value of all of this.
MoustachesToys is an active part of this new chapter: with independence, a critical eye, real enthusiasm, and inevitably, growing international reach — When our voice is felt and understood by those who love music… and want to hear it as it’s meant to be heard.
